Abstract

Alexander Wetmore travels to Guatemala in 1936 to conduct ornithological investigations and collect specimens for the US National Museum. Materials include travel notes, expense records, business cards, photographs, itemized expense list (including destinations), reference materials, and memorabilia. Photographs do not have captions. Field notes include individuals and contact information, lists of supplies, baggage, description of Puerto Barrios, bird lists and measurements for higher elevations he visited on the island (San Miguel Dueñas, Cuidad Vieja, Calderas, Las Lajas).
