Abstract

This item includes notes mammals and birds Mearns and other military personal collected on Mt. Malindang, "Mount Bliss", "Mount Lebo", and Catagan, Mindanao. Dates range from 9 May to 11 June 1906. Mearns also includes data from the personal notes of Lt. James L. Wood. Wood's personal notes are diary like and discuss their travels from 17 to 23 May and include detailed surveying information. Mearns's collector numbers include 6124 to 6139 (mammals) 14095 to 14280 (birds). Bird and mammal notes also include measurements, and altitudes at which specimens were collected. Also included are numbers for birds collected by Robert Schroder: 1-47.
