Abstract

This is one of four notebooks containing lists of insect specimens collected mainly in California, but also in Texas, Arizona, and Utah by the Division of Cereal and Forage Insects, Bureau of Entomology, United States Department of Agriculture. This notebook contains collections made between 1908 and 1917 primarily by collectors with initials "TDU" and "CMP". Entries include the scientific name of the specimen, date collected, locality collected, remarks, collector initials or name, number, and station number. Numbers referring to the specimens range approximately from 4601 to 22597. Station numbers with prefixes "16" and "17" are included. California locations include Glendale and many other localities. A list entitled "Cereal and forage crop insects numbers, used by V. L. W. in California, also Yuma and Buckeye, Arizona" is attached to the cover verso.
