Abstract

This field book consists of a specimen list of A. S. Hitchcock from collecting activities in South Africa and Kenya in 1929. The specimen list includes collector numbers (24347-25176); scientific name; and sometimes a description including locality, physical characteristics, abundance, etc. Locations include: Cape Town (South Africa); Inyazure (Zimbabwe); Beira (Mozambique); Maktau, Nairobi (Kenya). Also included is a letter from J. A. Stevenson to Mary Agnes Chase.
