Abstract

This item contains a daily account from 14 to 16 May 1904 of Mearns travels up the Rio Grande (Mindanao River). Mearns starts at Zamboanga, goes to Saba, then takes a steamer up the Rio Grande. Most of the notes are from 16 May. Throughout these notes, Mearns records observations of birds, including their quantities and notes on abundance. Brief notes on Moro people are included. Eight pages.
