Abstract

This manuscript on birds Mearns collected in the Philippines in 1906 and 1907 contains a list of unidentified birds and alphabetical list of birds. The numbers following the bird entry are page numbers on which a description of that bird can be found in the manuscript. Pages are numbered 68 to 166. Each page contains the name of a species, under which collections of that species are noted with collector number, catalog number (USNM number), date, and locality information. Catalog numbers range approximately from 200889 to 208375. Localities in which birds were collected includes but is not limited to Palawan, Mindanao, Luzon Island, Mount Halcon, Basilan, Samar, Fuga Island, and Siassi [sic].
