Abstract

This item contains notes Mearns compiled from his field notes on birds observed and collected in the Philippines. The list of birds observed consists of 254 species. The list of birds collected is organized by species name (although not alphabetically), under which collections of that species are listed (no numerical order). Range of catalog numbers (USNM numbers) represented by the list are approximately 190000 to 192300. Collector numbers and some details of specimens are also provided. These were collected in 1903 and 1904 in various localities in Mindanao and other areas of the Philippines. For more information about these collector numbers, see field notes for these years.
