Abstract

The loose leaf sheets document mammal specimen collecting in Bolivia and Peru, 1942-1944. Raymond Gilmore recorded information on preprinted sheets, along with sketches and notes. Sheets detail a combination of common name of specimen, field number, USNM catalog number (271392 - 271419), location (country, state, county, locality), habitat and vegetation, measurements, parasites, stomach contents, specimen preparation, and special notes. These usually involve notes on appearance and color. Includes a sketches of specimens. Specimens include rodents. Locations are in the vicinity of but not limited to La Paz, Beni, Bolivia; and Peru.
