Abstract

This item contains a catalogue of birds Mearns collected during his field research in the Philippine Islands. This item is volume 1 of 3 volumes. Volume one contains collector numbers 12855-13833, collected from 27 June 1903 to 14 December 1905. The catalog records collector number, scientific name, location, sex, age, date collected, measurements, and description. Localities include but are not limited to Pantar (Mindanao Island), Zamboanga (Mindanao Island), and Malabang (Mindanao Island), Sulu Island (currently Jolo Island), "Mount Opo", Island of Basilan, West Bolod Island, and Island of Buluan.
