Abstract

This field book is volume 6 of 6 volumes. This volume contains notes Mearns took on bird and mammals observed and collected from 19 July to 4 August 1907 in the Philippines. Collector numbers include 6443 to 6542 (mammals) and 15350 to 15480 (birds). Measurements for mammal specimens are included. Localities include “Haight’s” in Benguet. A word list, possibly in a Philippine language, is included. Narrative notes on Brachypteryx, “one of the most elusive birds [Mearns has] met with”, and another species is included.
