Abstract

Robert E. Elbel collected mammal specimens in Thailand, 1952 - 1955. Materials include specimen cards, notes, and specimen tags are stapled to loose sheets of papers. Information recorded includes cards for Tupaia collected, USNM catalog numbers (296872 - 296900), sex, location, specimen preparation in 1952-1953; tables relating to Tupaia specimen skull and skin measurements; and stapled tags listing date, locality, collector (?), measurements, and unidentified information in unidentified language (Thai?). Locations include but are not limited to Chon Buri, Phakkhinak mountains, and Ban bo.
