Abstract

This notebook contains field notes from Bean's trip to the Bahamas from June 20 to July 30, 1903. His notes contain specimen lists, but are mostly narrative of what was found and observed, weather conditions and temperatures, fishing and traveling companions, and routes taken. Bean's notes also include some brief descriptions of coral. Some of the locations in the Bahamas in which Bean collected include Clarence Harbor (Great Harbor), Nassau, Watlings Island (San Salvador), Rum Cay, Salt Cay, and Mangrove Cay.
