Abstract

This item consists of the unbound determination notes of Louis Forniquet Henderson from a collecting trip to the central and eastern regions of Idaho in 1895. The notes appear to have been written and submitted to someone (unknown) by Henderson. The field notes include collector numbers 3000-4065 (not in ascending order); scientific names when known; physical descriptions of the specimens, including height, color, and other observations; notes on locality collected including location and sometimes altitude. Often the notes include Henderson's opinions on whether a genus can be assigned or needs additional work, and whether a specimen may represent a new species. Also included are the determination notes, possibly of Rydberg, for collector numbers 3144-4034.
