Abstract

This field book contains a list of the birds Mearns observed or collected on Conanicut Island, Rhode Island. Incorporated into these notes are observations made by Dr. Joel Asaph Allen, and some notes are by Louis di Zerega Mearns. Birds are noted by species on separate cards. Notes remark on abundance / scarcity, the time of year seen, and quantity of each species. Collector numbers range from approximately 112-180. Notes were taken from approximately November 1899 to March 1902, although possibly as early as 1898.
