Abstract

An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected by F. R. Fosberg from 5 October 1974 to 18 May 1975 in Hawaii; Virginia; Panama; and Phoenix Islands, Kiribati. Collector numbers 55593-55809 are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, with occasional notes on locality or physical descriptions of specimens (size, color, etc.) Also included are some longer narrative notes on vegetation, descriptions of trips, and references or descriptions of photographs taken. Localities include but are not limited to: Oahu, Maui, Hilo, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park (Hawaii); Barro Colorado Island (Panama); Canton Island, Enderbury Island, Birnie Island, Phoenix Island, Sydney Island, Hull Atoll (Phoenix Islands).
