Abstract

An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected by F. R. Fosberg from 16 June 1973 to 14 February 1974 in Australia; Indonesia; Ceylon (now Sri Lanka); District of Columbia; Mexico; New York; Pennsylvania; Missouri; Virginia; and Panama. Collection numbers 54941-55266 are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, with occasional notes on locality or physical descriptions of specimens (size, color, etc.). Also included are some longer narrative notes on vegetation in various localities. Localities include but are not limited to: Queensland (Australia); Djakarta (Indonesia); Colombo (Sri Lanka); Baja California, San Quintin, El Consuelo, Santo Tomas (Mexico); Fauquier County (Virginia); Rio Mendosa, Barro Colorado Island (Panama); and San Clemente Island (California). Included in the back of the field book are some travel documents; a map of Barro Colorado Island (Panama); and a Public Hunting Map of Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge (New York).
