Abstract

Materials of Herbert C. Clark include a mix of reprints, correspondence with field notes, and specimen lists for field work completed across Panama, June 18, 1949 - May 11, 1951. The reprint is entitled "Annual report of the Gorgas Memorial Laboratory, 1950." Correspondence originally accompanied specimens sent to the Smithsonian. Letters were written to staff of Yellow Fever Control Program and Pan American Sanitary Bureau, relating to surveys of monkeys (Chagres River), blood specimens with descriptions of animasl and their habitat, figures on types of monkeys and individual monkeys observed, notes on an expedition to Palenque and Cacique, Rio Pates and Rio del Medio, Coiba Island, Balboa Heights, Almirante Expedition, Rio Platanar expedition, Rio Corotu expedition, and notes from work at the Gorgas Memorial Laboratory Survey. Letters have specimen numbers hand written across the top and nonconsecutive.
