Abstract

This item contains two letters: Mearns to Stejneger, Fort Myer, 27 February 1895; Stejneger to Mearns, Washington, DC, 28 February 1895. Mearns' letter says there is no data found on specimens 215 to 219, and confirms the details of number 3285, 3231, 213, 3218, and 3451 (all reptiles and amphibians). Some specimens collected in San Diego, California. Stejneger's letter asks for confirmation on specimens collected in California and near the at monument no. 245 Mexican boundary line.
