Abstract

An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected by F. R. Fosberg from 18 February to 29 September 1974 in the U.S. Virgin Islands, District of Columbia, Virginia, Hawaii, Massachusetts, and Maryland. Collection numbers 55267-55592 are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, with occasional notes on locality or physical descriptions of specimens (size, color, etc.) Also included are some longer narrative notes on vegetation in various localities. Localities include but are not limited to: St. Croix, St. Thomas (U.S. Virgin Islands); Bull Run Mts. (Virginia); Kaloa, Maui, Kailua, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park (Hawaii).
