Abstract

The 8 photographs document geological and botanical observations of Bohumil Shimek while in Indiana. Photographs are undated and are grouped by number. They are individually numbered and include typed descriptions listing a combination of location, type of formation, type of plants, and measurements. Subject matter includes vegetation (cottonwood, cakile, genus euphorbia, ammophila) and wind-ripples on dunes, and exposed roots. Locations include Dune Park, Indiana on Lake Michigan.
