Abstract

Catalogue of bird specimens by Edgar A. Mearns collected on the Mexican-United States International Boundary Commission, 1 February 1892 to 19 March 1894. Includes data on locality and measurements. Most of the entries were written by Mearn's son, Louis di Zerega Mearns. Collector numbers include 7566-10378. Localities include but are not limited to El Paso (TX), Juarez (Chihuahua, Mexico), references to "monument" numbers (surveying markers), Carrizalillo Mountain (MBL), Dog Springs (Grant Co., NM), Fort Clark (TX), San Bernardino River (MBL), and Tule Wells (Yuma, AZ). List of mammals, collector numbers 1412 to 3535, is also included. Another list (perhaps related to main catalogue) with measurements, Mexico and Texas, collector numbers 7650 to 7848 (birds), is also included.
