Abstract

The 7 photographs document geological and botanical observations of Bohumil Shimek while in Europe, c. 1916-1917. Photographs are undated and are grouped by number. They are individually numbered and include typed descriptions listing a combination of location, type of formation, and types of plants. Subject matter includes xerophytic plants on slopes, steppes, valleys, and rocky slopes. Locations include near Prague, Radotin valley, Czech Republic.
