Abstract

The 8 photographs document geological and botanical observations of Bohumil Shimek while in Hungary. c. 1916-1917. Photographs are undated and are grouped by number. They are individually numbered and include typed descriptions listing a combination of location, type of formation, and types of plants. Subject matter includes salt steppes (in Kunsentmiklos [Kunszentmiklós], Hungary), a note about images from Hungary, examples of vegetation (genus Juncus and Lepidium), and hillsides. Locations include Czepel Island [Csepel Sziget] and Kunsentmiklos, Hungary.
