PrintThe 8 photographs document geological and botanical observations of Bohumil Shimek while in Texas and New Mexico. Photographs are undated and are grouped by number. They are individually numbered and include typed descriptions listing a combination of location, type of formation, type of plants, and sometimes elevation. Subject matter includes slopes along the Rio Grande, vistas of terrain, and detail images of vegetation (cereus, ocatillo). Locations are Rio Grande Valley; El Paso, Fort Bliss, Mt. Franklin, Texas; Anapra, New Mexico.
