Abstract

This item consists of an annotated list of the birds of the vicinity of Fort Snelling, Minnesota, compiled between 10 June and 26 July 1886 by Julius R. Wakefield, possibly an assistant to or colleague of Mearns. Includes "check list numbers", referring to the A. O. V. check list of 1886, 7-766. Notes on birds songs and on abundance and scarcity are included.
