Abstract

This field book contains several lists, catalogues and notes including: a catalogue of birds collected in Minnesota and Wisconsin (collector numbers starting at 7176); list of Wisconsin mammals (collector numbers 864-923); cold-blooded vertebrates of Wisconsin; shells sent to William H. Dall, 1891 (collector numbers 101-141); plants from Fort Clarke, Texas, 1892; grasses and sedges from Camp Douglas, Wisconsin, and Fort Snelling, Minnesota, 1888-1891 (collector numbers 1-857); "mammals sent to Smithsonian, Dec. 1891, numbers 54-1362"; "mammals sent in exchange to Mr. F. Stephans"; "mammals sent to American Museum Natural History, Dec. 1891"; ethnological notes including sketched map.
