Abstract

An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected by F. R. Fosberg from 27 February to 4 April 1968 in Seychelles, Kenya, and Ceylon (Sri Lanka). Collector numbers 49560-50202 are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, with occasional notes on locality or physical descriptions of specimens (size, color, etc.) Also included are some longer narrative notes on vegetation and tortoises. Localities include but are not limited to: Middle Island, West Island, South Island, Astove Atoll, Cosmoledo Atoll, Aldabra Island (Seychelles); Nairobi, Manyuki, Mt. Kenya Forest, Karama, Leopard Rock Meru National Park (Kenya); Horton Plains, Ruhuna National Park (Sri Lanka).
