An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected by F. R. Fosberg from 9 January to 6 August 1967 in India, Ceylon (Sri Lanka), Hawaii, Virginia, the West Indies, California, and Brazil. Collector numbers 48233-48561 are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, with occasional notes on locality or physical descriptions of specimens (size, color, etc.) Some longer narrative notes document vegetation in various localities. Localities include but are not limited to: Madras (India); Colombo, Kandy (Ceylon); Oahu, Hawaii National Volcanoes Park, Maui (Hawaii); Shenandoah National Park, Loudoun County, Fauquier County, Fairfax County, Sleepy Hollow (Virginia); Antigua; Dominica; Berekeley, Solano County, Napa County (California); Guanabora, Rio de Janeiro, Parana (Brazil). Included also are notes on travel and vegetation (often observed from an airplane) in England, India, Ceylon, Florida, Georgia, and several Caribbean islands.
