Abstract

This item includes 20 black and white images (18 photographs and 2 postcards) depicting bird and plant specimens, village and town life, local inhabitants, agriculture, and country side Carriker encountered during his collecting research in Peru. Images are dated 1930, 1933, 1934, and undated. Localities depicted include but are not limited to River Chanchamayo, Chanchamayo, North Peru, and Leymebamba. Carriker was possibly collecting for Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia at the time. Images possibly relate to Carriker field notes from 1933, housed in Box 3 Folder 3 of this collection.
