Abstract

The data and 4 photographs document porpoise specimens collected in Elson Lagoon, Alaska, August 6, 1952. The first sheet documents accession number 196037, specimen (USNM catalog) numbers 294800 and 294801. Data includes type, sex, age, collector, method collected, locality (latitude and longitude), date collected, weight, and length. The other page describes porpoise caught during a period of approximately 12 hours in Elson Lagoon by an "Eskimo fisherman David Otana". Work acquiring and processing specimens refers to Norman J. Wilimovsky and Ira L. Wiggins.
