Abstract

An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected by F. R. Fosberg from 25 August 1965 to 2 May 1966 in the Caroline Islands, Mariana Islands, Hawaiian Islands, Virginia, Argentina, Ohio, England, and France. Collector numbers 47482-47771 are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, with occasional notes on locality or physical descriptions of specimens (size, color, etc.). Some longer narrative notes document vegetation in various localities. Localities include Koror, Malakal, Tor Uil Island, Peliliu Island, Seventy Islands, Babeldaob (Palau); Saipan; Kilauea Volcano, Puhimao Crater (Hawaii); Annandale, Shenandoah National Park, Gainesville (Virginia); San Isidro, Punta Lara (Argentina); Wooster, Apple Creek (Ohio); Hunts (England); Soupper-Loing (France). Included also are some loose notes, a real estate advertisement, and a map of Mohonk, New York.
