Abstract

This item includes three tables (approximately 19" x 28.5" each) that serve as bird check lists. Each table lists scientific and common names of birds by row and location, elevation, and date by column. The dates 25 March to 20 May of an unknown year are covered. Approximately 50 to 150 species are listed. Localities include but are not limited to Fort Verde (AZ), Fort Lowell (AZ), San Simon Valley (currently Quijotoa Valley) (AZ), Deming (NM), Separ (NM), and Phoenix (AZ). Mearns and company marched from Fort Verde (AZ) to New Mexico, camping at Deming, and marched back to Fort Verde.
