Eggs collected on the San Francisco Mountain trip

PrintThis item contains three and a half pages of notes on eggs Mearns collected on his San Francisco Mountain trip, 20 May to 20 June 1887. Specimens were collected 24 May to 13 June 1887. Localities where eggs were collected include "Stoneman's Lake", "Mogollon Mountains" (possibly referring to Mogollon Rim in Arizona), Mormon Lake, Beaver Creek (6 miles NW of Fort Verde), Summit Divide, and the western base and other parts of the San Francisco Mountains. Specimens include eggs from Fulica americana, Urnbitinga anthracina, Regulus calendula, Scolecophagus cyanocephalus, Xanthoeephalus xanthoeephalus, cCanocitta stelleri macrolopha, Myctale acadica, Callipepla gambeli, Vireo gilvas sevansoni, and Junico dorsalis (many).
