Abstract

The 7 photographs document geological and botanical observations of Bohumil Shimek during his time in Europe, c. 1916-1917. Photographs are grouped by number. They are individually numbered and usually include typed descriptions listing a combination of location, type of formation, type of plants. Locations include Radotin Valley (Czech Republic); Czepel Island [Csepel Sziget], Kiskun-Laczhaza (Hungary); Rhine River; and Hiedesheim (Germany).
