Abstract

This diary contains notes on Carriker's collecting trip to Chocó, Colombia, from 1 January to 11 March 1918 to collect birds, mammals, and insects possibly for Carnegie Museum. Carriker notes quanities collected and remarks when the specimens were abundance or scarce. Localities include but are not limited to "Santata Valley", “Grass Hill”, "Santata River", “big falls past grass hill”, and "Colombo Road". Carriker also notes catching catfish, although it isn't clear to what purpose.
