Abstract

The field catalog and notes document William Louis Abbott's field work in southwestern Borneo, 1908. The loose notes describe the lower Kendawangan River [Sungai Kendawangan]. Details include terrain description and island flora and fauna. The field catalog covers collector numbers (5929 - 6250) for mammal specimens from Borneo and neighboring islands, June 12, 1908 - October 7, 1908. The catalog contains pasted inserts including hand drawn maps with notes of collecting sites. Map is of Sungei Pasagoean(?). Entries list specimen (USNM catalog) numbers (153685 - 153795), collector numbers, sex, type, location, date, and remarks. Remarks vary in length and detail about specimens' environments.
