Abstract

An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected by F. R. Fosberg from 24 March to 25 June 1961 in Hawaii, District of Columbia, Virginia, the Netherlands, Germany, and Pennsylvania. Collector numbers 41723-41861 are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, with occasional notes on locality or physical descriptions of specimens (size, color, etc.) Some longer narrative notes describe the vegetation in various localities. Localities include but are not limited to: Kona, Hawaii National Park, Maui (Hawaii); National Mall (Washington, D.C.); Loudon County, Great Falls (Virginia); Bavaria (Germany); and Westmoreland County (Pennsylvania). Some travel ephemera from Germany can be found in the back of the field book.
