Abstract

An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected by F. R. Fosberg from 10 September to 15 October 1960 in California, New Guinea, Australia, and Hawaiian Islands. Collector numbers 41205-41373 are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, with occasional notes on locality or physical descriptions of specimens (size, color, etc.) Some longer narrative notes describe the vegetation in various localities. Localities include: Banz, Nondugl, Kerowagi, Korefegu, Bena Bena, Aijura, Lae, Markham Valley (New Guinea); Mooloolabah, Heron Island, Gladstone (Australia); and Kii Flow, Kilauea Iki (Hawaii). Included between pages 162 and 163 is a small hand drawn map, possibly of Heron Island.
