Abstract

The field book documents William Louis Abbott's collecting in Southern Asia, October 27, 1900 - August 17, 1901 - April 14, 1902. Pages are numbered. There are numerous pasted inserts and maps. The catalog lists specimen (USNM catalog) number (111977 - 114498), collector's number A(1 -1700), sex, age, specimen type, locality, date, and remarks. Remarks include method caught, location explained with landmarks, and environment. Mapped locations include Johor, Malaysia; Nias [Palau Nias], Banjak Islands [Kepulauan Banjak], Sumatra, Tapanuli Bay [Teluk Sibolga],and Pulo Tuangku [Pulau Tuangku], Indonesia.
