Abstract

An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected by F. R. Fosberg from 15 May to 4 September 1960 in France, Spain, North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia. Collector numbers 40841-41204 are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, with occasional notes on locality or physical descriptions of specimens (size, color, etc.) Localities include: Col de Chioula, Peyrenere, Bedous, Lauret, Jura mountains, Cique de Baume (France); Valle de Ordesa, Collado de Oroel, Santa Cilia, Rioseta (Spain); Pittsboro, Southern Pines (North Carolina); Shenandoah National Park, Fairfax County (Virginia); and Randolph County, Pendleton County (West Virginia). Also included in the front of the field book are a folded map of Geneva, Switzerland and a travel pamphlet.
