Abstract

An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected by F. R. Fosberg from 28 October 1959 to 8 May 1960 in Ghana, Nigeria, California, Virginia, and Florida. Collector numbers 40723-40839 are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, with occasional notes on locality or physical descriptions of specimens (size, color, etc.) Localities include: Jos, Naraguta, Kaduna (Nigeria); Shenandoah National Park (Virginia); Coral Gables (Florida). Also included are travel and vegetation observation notes from Ivory Coast, Spain, and New York. An envelope containing botanical specimens and labeled "Lagos nigeria, stipules of Delonix region for description" can be found between pages 32 and 33.
