Abstract

An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected from 22 March to 14 April 1958 in Colombia. Collector numbers 39317-39419 are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, with occasional notes on locality or physical descriptions of specimens (size, color, etc.). Longer narrative notes documenting vegetation in the various localities are also included. Localities include but are not limited to: Boca Tanando, Quibdo, Antioquia, Cundinamarca, and Magdelena. A newspaper clipping, written in Spanish and titled "Defensa de los suelos," can be found between pages 78 and 79.
