Abstract

This item contains miscellaneous notes ranging in date from 1904 to 1914 and undated. Notes include some references to field work conducted, for example insects collected October and September 1907 in Mobile, Great Falls, Ash Grove, field trips in 1904 and 1906 to Lake Superior, and a 1914 trip to Peekskill, NY. Also include are lists of books, miscellaneous notes, and research notes. The following lists and notes are also included: “List of dytiscidae in my series”; “Coleoptera—John D. Sherman, Dr. 953 Paulding St., Peekskill, NY—Henshaw’s numbers”; notes from 14 July to 30 December of unknown year, but no earlier than 1884; “Coleoptera for sale by John D. Sherman Jr.”; and “Coleoptera in collection of JD Sherman” using Henshaw numbers.
