Abstract

An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected from 25 June to 6 August 1956 on Ishigaki, Iriomote, Kobama, and Taketomi islands, Japan. Collector numbers 37727-38134 are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, with occasional notes on locality or physical descriptions of specimens (size, color, etc.). Longer narrative notes documenting vegetation can also be found. Localities include but are not limited to Kabira, Shiraho, Nabura on Ishigaki Island; and Sonai, Amotori, and Shirahama on Iriomote.
