Abstract

An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected from 29 January - 24 February 1956 on the Marshall Islands and Hawaiian Islands. Collector numbers 36627-36738 are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, with occasional notes on locality or physical descriptions of specimens (size, color, etc.) Localities include but are not limited to Likiep, Kwajalein, Rongelap (Marshall Islands); and Oahu (Hawaii). Some loose specimen labels (36660 and 36733) are included in the front pages of the field book. A typed list titled "Fosberg's insects from the Marshall Islands, February 1956" with numbers 1-16 can be found in the back of the book.
