Abstract

An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical and animal specimens collected from 15 July - 18 August 1952 on the Marshall Islands, Wake Island, Johnston Island, and Hawaiian Islands. Collector numbers 34497-34608 are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, some physical descriptions including size and color, and some locality notes. Localities include Sybilla Islet, Kamome Islet, Pokak Islet, Kwajalein Atoll, and Bikar Atoll, among others. Specimens include birds, soils, and plants. Narrative field notes describing vegetation on the islands and travel notes are also included.
