Abstract

This is 4 of 13 envelopes of 8 photographs documenting Bohumil Shimek's travel and work in the southeast United States, 1936. Photographs are numbered on the reserve side, and some include descriptions. Subject matter includes examples of terrain near Glenmore, Louisiana; oil drill and surrounding dead trees in Urania, Louisiana; cuts into hillsides for roads; and examples of shorelines and bluffs. Locations include Vicksburg and Yazoo City, Mississippi; Sabine River.
