Abstract

Photographs, illustrations, and postcards document Bohumil Shimek's work in various places in Iowa and Louisiana. Photographs are numbered and include descriptions on the reverse side. Includes images of trees and vegetation on hillside slopes, view of the Lakeside Laboratory at Lake Okoboji, livestock in shallow waters, sailboat at Miller's Bay, farm fields, Illinoian prairie, buildings near the Evangeline Oak in Saint Martinville (Louisiana), crops, and terrain around railroad tracks. Locations include Kettleholle [Freda Haffner Kettlehole State Preserve] and Wilton, Iowa.
