Abstract

An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected from 3 February - 11 March 1952 on the Marshall Islands. Collector numbers 34143-34416 are included. Narrative notes describing landscape and vegetation of some localities are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, and sometimes a physical description of the specimen noting measurements, color, and other information. Localities include Ujelang Atoll, Wotho Atoll, and Ujae Atoll. Hand-drawn map of Ujae Atoll are included on pages 142-149. The maps depict physical features, vegetation, and substratum.
