Abstract

The field notes and diary (and loose sheets) document Bohumil Shimek's work and travel in May 28, 1930; May 30 - August 29 1932. Entries are dated and include list of destinations where collected in Muscatine county, listed details of trips, dated lists of expenses, plants observed and specimens collected, terrain along railroad lines and roads, dated lists of expenses, weather, hand drawn maps of locations observed, and elevations. Lists of destinations appear to include recordings of distances. Locations include the vicinity of towns Stacyville, counties Muscatine, Iowa, Iowa. In the back of the notebook is a list of destinations with dates including Indiana, Ohio, and West Virginia.
